Crystal L. Boyce - Owner/Artistic Director

Crystal L. Boyce began her journey into the world of dance at the early age of 4. After graduating from the Fort Hayes School of Performing Arts, studying at Ohio State and embarking on her own careers in both the political and corporate worlds, Crystal opened Leap of Faith Dance and Apparel in 2004. In November of 2009 Leap of Faith Dancewear Boutique opened. As a highly regarded artist, she has performed with and created extensive works for local theater companies, several middle and high schools and community groups around the central Ohio area. Crystal has studied under the tutelage of several great dance instructors and at the National Dance Certification and Masters in Dance Direction Programs at the University of Buffalo in New York. She continues her teacher training at several conferences and workshops around the nation including Dance Teacher Web and Dance Masters of America. Crystal’s passion as a choreographer, dancer and small business owner, continues to bring innovative direction to Columbus’ local performance arts scene. She has received several awards, recently receiving the 2011 Jewell Award for Leadership in Performing Arts and Humanities. Crystal is a native of Columbus, Ohio, and wife of State Representative Kevin Boyce; they are the proud parents of two young sons Kevin Jr. and Kristopher.

Kristiauna Trelay - Asst. Artistic Director/Office Manager, Dance Instructor

Kristiauna started her dance career at a young age receiving most of her training from several local dance studios with a strong foundation from Balletmet. Throughout school she performed in several musicals and later did competitive dance, receiving numerous awards for academic and dance achievements. After graduating from Fort Hayes Pre-Professional Dance program, she went onto The Ohio State University on a dance scholarship to further her training & studies. In addition, she has danced professionally, choreographed and held a lieutenant position for The Columbus Crewzers & Ohio Dance Machines for 3 years. She became a part of Leap of Faith Dance Studio in 2008 starting as a student and worked her way to becoming one of the lead instructors and office manager. Kristiauna has been teaching for over 10 years and continues to attend workshops and certified classes to continue to grow and share her passion of dance with others. Outside of dance she enjoys her time with her loving and supportive husband Jason and their two dogs.

Gail White-Dixon - Dance Instructor

Gail is a founding member of Leap of Faith. She has been the director of the dance ministry Essence of Praise at Centenary United Methodist Church for many years. She took dance and theater classes at The Ohio State University and after graduation was very active in Columbus’ community theater company Center Stage Theater. She has taught dance and movement to children and adults of all abilities. She enjoys spending time with her husband and her young adult children.

Elizabeth Berry - Office Adminstration/Dance Instructor

Elisabeth began dancing at the age of four in the small town of Brookville, Ohio.  Over her fourteen years at the Margaret Leiber School of Dance, she trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and pointe. She went on to Bowling Green State University to earn both her Bachelor of Science in dance and her Master of Business Administration.  While focused on modern and tap styles at BGSU, Elisabeth also taught tap, ballet, jazz, and contemporary at Julie’s Dance Studio in Bowling Green, Ohio for three years, as well as participated in many community theater productions as a performer, dancer, and choreographer.  After moving to Columbus, Elisabeth found Leap of Faith and began teaching as a substitute tap instructor, and is very excited to share her passion of tap with the entire LoF family this season.  When not in the dance studio, Elisabeth enjoys her work as a Financial Services Professional with the Innova Financial Group in Worthington.
